About Me

"When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breath, then you will be successful."

Nicholas A. Slobozien is currently in his 5th year of study in the Architectural Engineering Program at The Pennsylvania State University. In December 2017, he will graduate with an Integrated Bachelor/Master of Architectural Engineering degree, with a focus in construction management.  Mr. Nicholas is a member of the professional and student organization S:PACE.  S:PACE is the student chapter of PACE (The Partnership for Achieving Construction Excellence) that establishes a working partnership between the construction industry and Penn State to achieve excellence in construction through process innovation and the development of students into leaders.

During the past two summers, Nicholas participated in construction management internships with Benchmark Construction.  Benchmark is a regional general contractor located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania with a commitment to exceptional buildings though balanced relationships to enhance the community’s environment.  From these experiences, Nicholas has gained beneficial insight and training in the construction industry.  This was through various projects and responsibilities awarded to him.  In the short term, he is looking forward to graduation and beginning a career in the construction industry where he can apply the knowledge and skills acquired.  One of Nicholas’s passions is his continued desire to learn and grow about every changing construction industry.

Outside of academics, Nicholas enjoys spending time being physically active.  He is an avid gym goer and can be seen regularly in any of the on campus training facilities offered at Penn State.  Other activities include participation in intermural sports; football and basketball.  Outside of being physically active, Nicholas enjoys spending time with friends and family to relax and just have fun.
